Tour Plan

Day 1: Rurrenabaque – Pampas del Yacuma

08:00 Departure for the Pampas tour. The trip to the Pampas is done in small cars on a dirt road, which lasts 3 hours. During the trip we pass through two towns in Beni, the first town is Reyes and the second town is Santa Rosa del Yacuma, the latter located very close to the Pampas del Yacuma Wildlife Sanctuary. During the trip, we will be able to observe a great variety of birds and animals among which are alligators, capybaras and sloths.
12:00 Arrival in Santa Rosa and Lunch at a local restaurant
13:30 Transfer to the Yacuma River where we will begin a relaxing boat ride on the Yacuma River where you can observe birds, monkeys, two species of alligators, turtles, capybaras and beautiful views of the Pampas landscapes. The boat ride is a perfect opportunity to take photographs of animals and landscapes. The guide will interpret the local ecosystem and fauna.
16:30 Arrival at the Yacaré Lodge and accommodation in your respective rooms with private or shared bathroom.
17:30 Boat trip to watch the sunset, it is a romantic moment and a unique opportunity to take pictures.
19:30 Traditional typical dinner at the lodge
20:30 Night boat ride. Equipped with a flashlight we will go in search of the eyes of alligators. You will also be able to experience the wildlife of the Pampas at night and then return to the lodge to rest.

Day 2: Yacuma Pampas

05:30 We will go on a short walk to watch the sunrise, watch birds and listen to the birdsong and the cry of the howler monkeys.
07:30 Breakfast at the lodge.
08:30 3-hour walk through the Pampas del Yacuma in search of the famous anaconda, the activity is an opportunity to learn about medicinal plants, ecological processes, and the behavior of animals in this fragile ecosystem. Return to the lodge.
12:30 Lunch at the Yacaré Lodge and rest.
15:00 Departure by motor boat in search of the pink dolphins or bufeos. During this activity you will have the possibility to swim with the dolphins, a relaxing and refreshing activity in the Pampas del Yacuma. During the activity you will also be able to observe animals, many species of birds, monkeys, alligators and turtles. Return to the lodge.
19:00 Traditional dinner at the Lodge and rest.

Day 3: Yacuma Plains – Rurrenabaque – La Paz

07:30 Breakfast at the Lodge.
08:30 We will start a boat ride to fish for piranhas. This activity is optional and can be replaced by searching for animals, mainly monkeys and pink dolphins. After the fishing activity, we will return to the Lodge.
11:00 Lunch at the Lodge and preparation of luggage for the return.
11:30 Boat trip back to the main port. The trip takes 1.5 hours. Transfer to the vehicle and return trip to Rurrenabaque takes 3 hours.
16:30 Arrival in Rurrenabaque, transfer to the airport or hotel. End of activities.
